About us...
I have been growing herbs for over 20 years. I love
cooking with herbs for my family and dinner parties and have been
fortunate enough
to have some of my recipes published in the Telegraph, Good
Housekeeping and Country Kitchens magazine. A member of the Herb Society
(www.herbsociety.org.uk) for over 10 years, I enjoy sharing my passion
for herbs through the herb cookery
courses and other herb related courses I
run from my home on
the Surrey/West Sussex border.
My aim is to inspire everyone to use more herbs.
Particularly in
cooking, but also in the home and garden. Herbs are the most wonderful
natural resource and most are easy to grow. In fact some can take over
if you are not careful where you put them. It doesn't matter if you
have a window box or a dedicated herb garden - herbs can enhance your
life in so many ways.
Herb cookery courses
are kept small and friendly - between 8
and 10 people. Recipes are not overly complicated but generally dinner
party standard. I find there is no need to get stressed to impress!
How to grow herbs
is an increasingly popular half day course which can be booked by
special arrangement if you have a group of you who are interested (min.
5 - max. 10 people).
Christmas wreath and
table decoration course is a seasonal highlight with people
coming back year after year for the fun and the joy of making your own
to take home - plus of course the chat over lunch!
Dates
are published on this site throughout the year. Increasingly I get
asked to do additional dates for groups who want to book a day out
together doing something different and catching up over a good lunch.
We have had groups celebrating a special birthday, WI groups and men
only - all great fun. Recipes are changed each season and from year to
year and I am glad to
say we get many people coming again and again.
People are always saying how much they enjoy the
friendly and informal
style of the day, the lunch! And having a stroll around the garden
talking about the herbs and their uses. It is so good to see them go
away enthused and
ready to try something new.
...so go on give it a try and come and see us.
